British actress Emma Thompson has dropped out of the Skydance Animation film “Luck”. She expressed discomfort in a letter to Skydance about working with John Lasseter, who was accused of sexual misconduct last year and subsequently left Pixar.
Thompson wrote a letter to explain her departure, which was obtained by the Los Angeles Times. She wrote “It feels very odd to me that you and your company would consider hiring someone with Mr. Lasseter’s pattern of misconduct given the present climate in which people with the kind of power that you have can reasonably be expected to step up to the plate.”
